My Favorite Wedding Photos + Cincinnati Wedding Vendors

I have been going through my wedding photos every day since I received the full gallery. I truly wish there were a way to go back and relive each and every moment of the day. These Cincinnati Wedding Vendors created a beautiful, fun, and in every way perfect day for Corey and I.

I planned my wedding in around 7 months – and this was mainly doable because I had such amazing vendors in our city to work with.

Working with Emmalee Smith, of Love&Dwell Photography, was probably the first thing Corey and I decided on. I met Emmalee not long after Corey proposed – and it turned out, she’s a Nardian*! Not only did she live in our small town, she made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, treated us as if she has known us our whole lives, and was an absolute dream the day of – quick, efficient and still kind even when the bridal party was too rowdy to listen.

I am not saying Corey and I are the most photogenic people in the world, like… Emmalee did not have much to work with, and DAMN, our photos look like they came straight out of a magazine. Picking my ‘favorites’ was difficult because I absolutely love them all.

Venue: American Sign Museum

I looked at two wedding venues… and yup, The American Sign Museum was the second. All along, Corey and I wanted to emphasize our day as a celebration – a giant party with our closest family and friends.

The American Sign Museum fit that vibe, and definitely did not disappoint. We still have people coming up to us to tell us how cool our venue was… and how well it fit our personalities.

The ASM team was also incredible. They were calm, collected and ran everything with such ease. Let’s be honest, if anything went wrong… I damn sure didn’t know about it.

Videographer: Wedding Mix

You might remember my “call for help!” blog featuring WeddingMix. WeddingMix takes videos uploaded by your guests and puts them all in a video!

We were also lucky enough to have two GoPros (provided by WeddingMix) to get hi-def footage of our entire day. We literally passed around the GoPros all night… I can’t wait to show you all the final video!

Hair: Formal Rumors by Sarah Reed

I had to be sure to use a color photo because I met with Sarah MONTHS before the wedding so we could get acquainted and she could play with the mess on my head. To be honest, she could have came the day of the wedding, without ever meeting me or having a trial and completely slay it, but then I wouldn’t have had the beautiful highlights you see above.

Sarah was a one woman team working on 12 heads that day! She beat us to our ‘get ready spot’ and was ready to role as soon as we got there. She did such an amazing job in such a short amount of time. She was even kind enough to let me use her own personal extensions! You think that beautiful bun is all my hair? Think again.

Makeup: Makeup by Kelly

I am not tooting my own horn – really I am tooting Kelly’s makeup skills – I had people coming up to me days after the wedding to remind me that they have never seen me look so incredible. “Layla, you’re beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but you looked absolutely stunning at your wedding.” – that’s a direct quote coming from someone a week after my wedding.

Kelly made me feel like an absolute queen! She is another who could have showed up day of, never met me and still would have absolutely slayed. She gave me exactly what I wanted and even added her own beautiful flare.

I mean, you guys, I showed her a picture of Kim Kardashian as my inspiration. She wasn’t working with someone easy lol.

& that’s a wrap on my favorite Cincinnati wedding vendors! Wow that is a lot of info! I definitely have to give two shoutouts to family as well: my dad was our DJ, our close friend was our officiant, my sister was our event coordinator, and my oldest sister played a piano piece written by my cousin as I walked down the aisle.

If you can include people you love in your big day, I highly suggest it. It makes the day that much more intimate and that much more YOU!
Be sure to find the ones willing to take on a bit of the headache of course. 🙂
