I am still on cloud 9 from an amazing day of celebration. My lemon theme bridal shower was such a fun time, that I can only IMAGINE how much fun the big day is going to be.
My mom put together a “She Found Her Main Squeeze” lemon theme bridal shower and my bridesmaids brought it to life the day of. It was all I could have hoped for and all I ever wanted. They did such an amazing job.
I am going to share with you the ins and outs of my bridal shower: the theme, the food, and the games. It was a day of dreams, and a shower that any bride would have been lucky to have.
The Theme:
I scoured Pinterest for so long trying to think of a theme for my bridal shower… and let me tell you, Pinterest can be a black hole. But I finally found a lemon themed party, and thought it was such a cute idea for summer.
My MoH made the invitations in her Cricut design space!
My parents and future sister-in-law went near crazy after the theme was decided and shopped their little hearts out for literally anything lemon. My mom is an Etsy fiend and found all of the cute banners and signs from Nic and Vic Designs.
Tip: The Target Dollar Spot is your best friend. I found so many cute detail oriented lemon things such as cups, straw decorations and reusable lemon ice cubes. Check out that handmade drink stand – shoutout to one of my bridesmaid’s husbands Derrek – he needs to open his own Etsy shop.
The Food
I love brunch. So we decided to keep things early and have a waffle and donut bar. We had this whole thing planned to make waffles the night before… but as the day got closer, we realized how much work it would be. So instead, we grabbed waffles from our local Taste of Belgium.
We paired the waffles with sausage, bacon and donuts! How cute is the donut holder below? One of my amazing bridesmaids made it!
A bridal shower wouldn’t be right without something sweet. My mom made an order from a local bakery – 3 Sweet Girls Cakery. She got lemon slices, ‘Future Mrs. Keiner’, and corndog cookies (my family calls my fiancé Corndog, so it was only right).
The Games
The games were my favorite part of the bridal shower of course! I love seeing how well our family and friends know Corey and I. 😉
We played two quick paper games – He Said, She Said and Who Knows the Bride Best.
My future sister-in-law, Kelsey, planned a little game for everyone else’s entertainment. She asked Corey questions, and then asked me the same questions, but I had to guess what Corey answered. For every question I got wrong, I had to stick a gumboil in my mouth… I got a fair amount wrong.
We had two typical games, How Many M&Ms are in the bowl and the Ring Game (as seen in the third image). & lastly, I hosted a little Jeopardy game with questions about my fiancé and I. It was so much fun!
My one request for my Bridal Shower was to have a place for us all to take pictures! We created this backdrop out of a bunch of Amazon finds.

All in all, it was the most incredible day. All I can think about is all the milestones in my life to come. I am trying my best to soak it all in now, because I know how quickly time moves. I cannot wait for my big day!
