It was fitting when Corey proposed that we were driving to Vegas a few days later, because we both knew that that was where we would be celebrating our bachelor and bachelorette parties with our friends.
We decided to keep things traditional (which is funny because nothing about our wedding really was traditional at all) and go to Vegas the weekend before our wedding.
The gif above is exactly the reaction we got from our family, friends and pretty much anyone we told we were doing this.
But we absolutely suggest planing your bachelor or bachelorette for the weekend before. It truly was such a celebration and made the week leading up to the wedding so much fun and built up so much anticipation. I wouldn’t have traded doing this for the world.
Let’s start off with a few Vegas bachelorette party planning tips:
1. Use Hopper to book your flight! Flights to Vegas vary & can go from really cheap to really expensive in a matter of a day. Be sure to use the hopper app to track flights – especially so you can keep everyone informed on when it’s cheap & when it’s not.
2. Stay at a hotel that has a Las Vegas Monorail stop. We stayed at The SLS and having the LV Monorail was an absolute life saver when in came to traveling along the strip. Get a weekend pass & skip the Uber’s!
3. Make a group chat & have everyone share his/her location. We luckily never lost anyone, but it was nice knowing that if we did… we had a way of finding them.
4. Utilize Vegas Girls Night Out! VGNO has amazing packages for you and your girls – from limos on the strip, brunch and Thunder from Down Under! They are guaranteed to set you up for an amazing time. Check out their Instagram and you will be able to witness all of the fun!
LV Bachelorette Itinerary
Thursday:
Drop your bags off at the hotel or check in if you get there after check in time.
If you have to wait for check in, go out and check out the strip!
Hit up a grocery store to prepare for the weekend – grab drinks for pregaming, sunscreen if you couldn’t fit enough in your bag on the plane, & food so you don’t have to eat out every single night.
Head to your hotel pool to hang out until it’s time to get ready for dinner.
7pm – grab dinner – if you are headed to a show, check out places close to the hotel your show is in.
9pm – Thunder from Down Under with Vegas Girls Night Out. This was an absolute blast and started our trip out on a good note!
10pm – Head out for drinks and dancing! Be on the lookout for promoters to get you into clubs for free. While you’re at it, ask them for free drink coupons too! Most of them will have some.
*disclaimer : Vegas promoters tend to suck – make sure you map out the clubs & day parties you want to go to & then reach out to a promoter. The ones on the streets will promise you food, and drinks & tables… they are liars 😂
Friday:
Have bottomless mimosas at The Seabreeze Cafe for $16
Walk to the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign for a photo opp!
Schedule a pole dancing class! We did one for $25 and it was so much fun! This also gave us an opportunity to wear our matching shirts.
Have dinner at your hotel.
Drinks and dancing in your all black attire while your bride wears white.
We ended up seeing Marshmallow this night and it was an absolute blast! We danced the night away.
Saturday:
If you’re man’s bachelor party is there – plan a team bride v team groom scavenger hunt during the day!
We ended up not meeting up with them at all during the trip, but the idea was fun! It just did not work out into our schedule.
Head to a day party! We ended up going to Drais Night Club and hanging around in the pool. By hanging around, I mean grabbing beach balls and drilling anyone we could. 😂
We also made use of our Corey tats this day. Yes, you can get tattoos of your man on Etsy! So worth it and so funny walking around with your future husband tatted on your arm.
WIG NIGHT!! Save wig night for your last night! We got ready at the hotel and headed out to Old Vegas in our wigs. Oh yes, we fit right in.
Wig night was my favorite night! Although, I did have six $2 margaritas… don’t do this. My stomach hurt so badly! It made me miss karaoke! 😂🙈 $2 sound nice, but do your belly a favor and avoid these like the plague.
Check out all the fun in Old Vegas and then head to the dive bar in the strip mall and take part in karaoke! The drinks are cheap, and the karaoke was so much fun. If I ever remember the name of the bar… I’ll come back and link it. 😬
Sunday:
Sadly, head home and prepare for the best day of your life.
If you have time before your flight, drop your bags off and do whatever it is you missed! But I highly recommend wearing your bathing suit underneath your clothes in case you want to lounge at the pool.
The bell hops won’t be happy if you have them drag your bag out more than once, make sure you have the necessities before dropping your bags off. It’ll save you a headache and a bad bell hop experience.
